so what exactly is a behavior change strategy session?

These sessions with me are so unique. Sometimes we focus on how to bring more physical fitness into your busy life, or how to create lasting fitness habits with accountability. Other times we focus on nutrition and how to have a “healthy relationship” with your food…I know I know but I promise you it is crazy how our past traumas and baggage can effect us in unexpected ways! Then other times, we breakthrough some heavy unresolved issues, build confidence and personal power. It really depends on YOU. How much you are willing to work and unpack out of those bags you have been carrying! Grab one session and see what you can uncover!

So your a trainer/nutrition coach..do you have personal training sessions?

I love personal training. In fact, after 15 years in the family service field I gave up that career for a new path…personal training. I trained for years in gyms and in my own studio and LOVED every second. When the pandemic hit and my studio shut down I saw new trends in the fitness industry and realized that for me it was never about the bicep curl or showing you the squat. It was about the conversations that came from those appointments and the personal power that I helped people restore while doing those squats and bicep curls. So the short answer is…YES, I am still a certified personal trainer and certified nutrition coach but my focus and specialty is helping people find the hidden roadblocks that have been blocking them from good physical and mental health.

what kinds of topics do you talk about when you do speaking events?

This is truly my favorite thing to do in life. I feel I was “born with a mic in my hand”! It is true ask my mom. But I have spoke on many stages about all aspects of my cancer journey, survivorship and how that was more difficult than the disease, starting over with your “new normal” in life, how to stay motivated even during struggle, how to turn struggle into strength, life after chaos, and so much more! Lets chat about your audience and custom create the perfect talk!

How can i be a guest on your podcast?

I am always looking for guests with amazing stories of “Surviving Life’s” craziness. It is not just a cancer podcast haha. How do i balance living life and being healthy?

This is probably the trickiest part of health. On one hand you want to live life and have fun and on the other you know you need to make good healthy choices to be here a long time to enjoy it. Many times it is not us being out of balance it is a “health block” that we need to unpack. Just like an onion the layers come off one at a time so the best way to have that balance you seek is to look at where you are now and where you want to be. Then we can look at the distance between those two use the style of behavior change that works best for YOU and make a plan. So unfortunately there is no cookie cutter answer or one size fits all in health in my book. It is based on YOU as a person, your level of commitment to change, and your ability to navigate the bumps in the road. Lucky for you I have spent my ENTIRE career post college helping adults (and even children) change behaviors. So you could call me VERY well informed.
